HOP – Passport to Prosperity

Refund Policy

House of Professionals (“HOP”) is committed to transparent terms for its programs and services. This policy sets out the conditions governing cancellations and refunds.

1. Scope

This policy applies to payments made directly to HOP for memberships, training programs, workshops, seminars, webinars, certification services, consulting assignments, digital resources, online learning, online services, and other digital services.

Services offered through external organizations may also be subject to their respective terms, which will be communicated before payment.

2. General Conditions

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing with proof of payment and the reason for cancellation.
  • Refund eligibility depends on the request date, the service purchased, and whether delivery, access, learning, or assessment has commenced.
  • “Up to 75%” represents the maximum refundable amount. Any lower refund will be explained with reference to services already provided and applicable commitments or third-party charges, without double deductions.
  • Non-attendance, non-use of services, or failure to complete programme requirements does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund.
  • Specific terms disclosed before payment or included in a signed agreement will apply to the relevant transaction, subject to applicable law.

3. Membership Fees

Membership fees are non-refundable. Failure to use membership benefits does not create an entitlement to a refund.

4. Training Programs

Cancellation requests received within 5 calendar days of payment may qualify for a refund of up to 75% of the training fee, provided the programme has not commenced. No refund is available for voluntary cancellation after this period or once the programme begins.

5. Certification Fees

Cancellation requests received within 5 calendar days of payment may qualify for a refund of up to 75% of the certification fee, provided the candidate has not appeared in an examination or commenced an assessment.

Fees paid or committed to an external certification body remain subject to its previously disclosed refund conditions.

6. Digital Resources, Online Learning, and Online Services

Cancellation requests received within 5 calendar days of payment may qualify for a refund of up to 75% of the fee, provided the digital resource has not been accessed, streamed, or downloaded and the online learning or service has not commenced.

Once digital content has been accessed or the service has commenced, no refund is available for voluntary cancellation or non-use. Account creation alone does not constitute access to learning content.

7. Consulting Assignments

Upon cancellation, HOP will retain fees for work completed. A refund of up to 75% of the remaining payment relating to unperformed work may be granted, subject to the signed engagement terms and documented commitments made for the assignment.

8. Cancellation or Changes by HOP

If HOP cancels or cannot deliver a purchased service, the customer will be offered a refund for the undelivered portion or an alternative arrangement accepted by the customer.

Where HOP materially changes a program’s date, delivery mode, or scope, customers unable to accept the change may request a refund for the affected service not received.

9. Submission and Processing

Refund requests must be emailed to communication@hopinternational.org, including:

  • Purchaser’s name and contact details.
  • Programme, resource, or service purchased.
  • Payment reference and proof of payment.
  • Reason for cancellation.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 15 business days after approval and receipt of all required information. Refunds will ordinarily be made to the original payer through the original payment method. Bank or payment-provider processing may take additional time.

Verified duplicate payments and overpayments will be refunded.

10. Review of Decisions

Customers may request a management review of a refund decision by replying to HOP’s decision email with supporting information. This review process does not restrict any remedy available under applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

HOP may revise this policy periodically. Updates will be published with a revised effective date. The policy disclosed at the time of payment will apply to that transaction, unless a change is required by law or is more favorable to the customer.

12. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies available under applicable law, including those relating to faulty services, defective digital resources, misrepresentation, or non-delivery.
